Welcome!
Ms. Melchior - Art
I am original from San Antonio and spent most of my childhood there. I have very fond memories of wondering through the woods of Salado Creek and swimming in the Round Pool during summer camp. I attended UTSA and have a degree in History. I have either been or worked for a school for my whole life. I have even attended a school for hometown missionaries called "Pioneer School" which I loved most of all. In addition to teaching students about art, I am very active in teaching others about making positive life choices. I find great enjoyment in both. It is wonderful to see the light click on when my students get it. Best feeling ever!!
I share my home with my 14 year making-senior-life-look-good cat, Graycee. I want to be that spry when I am her cat age. Outside, I have various birds and rabbits that visit me often and raid my garden.

Mrs. Bass - Music
About Mrs. Bass |
I was born in Ohio, but have lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth area since I was in 2nd grade. I attended Texas Christian University (go Frogs!), and earned my bachelor’s degree in Music Education. Marching band was so much fun. :)
This is my 4th year teaching music with K12 Texas; I spent 8 years before that teaching elementary music in brick and mortar public schools. My husband and I have two sweet daughters, Zoey (almost 6), and Lily (2 years), and a pointer mix named Clementine. :) In my spare time I enjoy sewing, making soap, reading, writing, playing clarinet, and getting lots of hugs and snuggles from my girls. |

Mrs. Puchstein - Middle School PE & Health
About Mrs. PuchsteinLet me start by telling you a little about myself and my family. I met my fantastic husband, Aljoscha, my sophomore year in college. We have been married for 6 years now and we have a three year old daughter named Laurianna and a one year old son named Asher. We also have 5 pets in our family, three dogs and two cats. Our house is sometimes a little crazy with two adults, two toddlers and 5 “furbabies”.
I graduated from The University of Houston with my B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Human Nutrition. I really enjoy researching and learning about mental and physical health, so I am excited to be teaching PE and Health this year. Prior to this, I taught High School Biology and Integrated Physics and Chemistry at Angleton High School. I will be one of two teachers teaching the PE and Health class connect sessions for TXVA. This is my third year teaching with TXVA and teaching online. I am so excited to be helping you through this journey with. Online education is definitely the future. I know from experience, that it is common to have at least one online course in college so it is essential to teach students the study skills needed to be successful. |

Mrs. Tweedle - Elementary PE & Health
About Mrs. TweedleWelcome!
I am so glad you are a part of our awesome class! Here is a little background about me. I attended Tarleton State University; I graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Education. I knew I wanted to be a teacher since High School, I had some very influential teachers and coaches in my life. A week after graduating I married my high school sweetheart, TJ Tweedle, we have been married a little over four years now. We had our first baby, Charlie in February 2015. TJ is a Texas Game Warden, he loves his work. If you aren’t sure what that is, he is a State Police officer that works mainly with fishing and hunting laws. We have three dogs Fabio the Chihuahua, Lucy the Beagle, and Scooter the Red Healer, they keep us on our toes. Before coming to TXVA I was a basketball and softball coach, I also taught middle school history. I loved coaching, but the school and the timing just didn’t work out for our family. I am very excited about starting my third year in the virtual world. I will be teaching PE and Health for both Elementary and Middle school. I want to say a BIG thank you to everyone who stuck with us last year. It was a little rocky. We have much greater things in place thus year and are so excited to get to share them with you! |
